Renita Kolica
I am a Web and Graphic Designer with a B.A. in Graphic Design and a minor in Psychology. My experience spans branding, UX/UI, editorial design, environmental signage and digital strategy. Most recently I’ve led design initiatives for a technology and public policy think tank in Washington, D.C. Through this work, I have developed a growing interest in systems thinking and the role design can play in improving people's experiences within complex socioeconomic and environmental systems.
As a first-generation Kosovar-Albanian American, my perspective has been shaped by resilience, community, and empathy. I see design as a tool for fostering trust in human connections, and creating experiences where people feel supported. Especially during the vulnerable moments of one’s livelihood.
Outside of design, I enjoy skiing, tennis, gardening, cooking, yoga, climbing, and making things with my hands. These activities serve as reminders that solutions emerge through curiosity, generosity, and learning from both people and the natural world.
Through ResFut, I hope to expand my practice as a UX and Service Designer while contributing to more resilient, sustainable, and meaningful futures.
