Khullaratn Sangsood (Lara) is an interior and spatial designer with 6 years of experience specialising in high-end hospitality design across Asia. She began her professional career at PIA Interior, where she worked on projects for leading international hospitality groups including InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), Marriott International, and Hilton.

Alongside her professional design practice, she has developed a personal practice in botanical illustration. Her design philosophy is rooted in the power of hand drawing. She believes that communicating through intricate hand sketches enables a more soulful and precise transition from abstract concepts into real, physical spaces.

Throughout her career as a Lead Designer, she has worked across luxury hospitality environments, developing spatial concepts and design details with a strong focus on atmosphere, storytelling, and the human experience of space.

Today, Lara’s work is driven by a desire to explore how design can respond to demographic change. Inspired by Thailand’s transition into a super-aged society, she is bringing together her expertise in high-end hospitality design with her practice in botanical and biophilic art to explore the future of private retirement residences. Her goal is to create forward-thinking, compassionate environments that honour emotional dignity and enhance the quality of life of an ageing population.
