Fiorella Carhuancho Quijada
I’m Fiorella, illustrator and visual anthropologist from Peru. I’m passionate about combining approaches from design research and anthropology, not just as academic frameworks, but as ways of intervening and being in the world. That is what drew me to the Response_Able Futures programme. It offers a fertile ground to bring together interdisciplinary interests and nurture a design practice that is not only meaningful but also critical and reflective of its impact.
Along the way, I have built experience in both higher education and strategic projects in corporate settings. I have worked as an assistant teacher at the Faculty of Arts & Design of the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú for over eight years, and more recently as a design researcher on education-focused initiatives within the innovation lab of Intercorp, the largest business conglomerate in Peru. In my free time, I like joining unexpected workshops that blend sound, dramaturgy, philosophy, and literature, driven by an infinite curiosity about the complexities of how we relate to one another. I also love traveling for concerts, letting music lead me into new places, people, and ways of thinking.
