I’m Ella, a designer and researcher passionate about the intersection of healthcare and human-centered design. I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a degree in Graphic Design, where I focused on patient experiences and placed empathy at the forefront of my work. During my studies, I participated in undergraduate research on projects such as FRED (Friendly Robot to Ease Dementia), collaborating with a team to design and test interfaces that support patients and caregivers affected by Alzheimer’s Disease. I additionally worked at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, where I focused on improving patient experiences within hospital environments.

Being able to create accessible, thoughtful designs that contribute to the greater good of humanity is an honor. I’m excited to continue growing my skills and learning alongside this cohort! :)
