Avin Kolah Ghouchi
I’m Avin, a product-service designer and visual artist from Iran whose work explores unwritten stories within systems and services. I’ve studied industrial design and have a background in user research and product design.
My work focuses on participatory design for users with special cognitive needs. My thesis project was the co-creation of a sustainable eating system for individuals undergoing epilepsy treatment in a cross-cultural care environment, which inspired me to design for the needs and well-being of caregivers as well as the end users within care contexts. This research made me realize how integrating inclusion and culturally relevant design solutions can serve overlooked communities.
I am currently interested in exploring assistive technologies and social design, and I’m looking forward to learning different approaches in the European care ecosystem and collaborating with international and local designers within the ResFut program.
Outside of work, I enjoy meeting interesting humans and taking part in community-based activities. I also enjoy creative practices like dancing, painting, singing, and creating new recipes.
