Hi, I'm Anam, a product designer from a small village in Punjab, Pakistan, where creativity mostly happened quietly on the back of a notebook. I have a Bachelor's in Information Technology, and over the years I've worked across research and service design, mostly in the fintech and AI domains, for local and international startups.

Design wasn't something people around me got to choose as a path, and I found my way to it slowly. These days, I try to make that path a little shorter for other people; I run a passion project called Design for Access, where I collaborate with local NGOs, schools, and communities to bring design education to people, especially girls with limited access to design and technology.

‍

Lately my curiosity led me to explore art therapy, and how drawing or creative expression can help people say what words can't. I believe design is relational before it's functional, and that's why Response_Able Futures feels like the right place to explore that, with people from diverse backgrounds and disciplines.

During my free time, I'm usually on a trail I haven't hiked before, or somewhere I don't speak the language yet, or in a garden bed negotiating terms with something that refuses to grow, or illustrating a cute little postcard. I'm excited to explore new cultures, cities, and hiking trails across Europe, and to meet all of you along the way!
