Hello, I’m Abishai, a product designer from India. What keeps me curious isn’t really design or products, but people. Design just happens to be the lens through which I explore how living things sit, move, communicate, think, live and make sense of the world around us.

I enjoy making things not because I’m obsessed with objects themselves, but because they become little excuses to connect with people! That’s what draws me to ResFut. This is an opportunity to explore and build ways in which design can move beyond making product/object-solutions and become a way of building care through empathy and collaboration.

Outside the studio, I’m always looking for new ways to understand people. Music has become one of my favourite mediums. I love discovering cultures through the stories, histories and textures carried in songs. Sometimes I’ll spend days going down rabbit holes after finding one obscure album. My love for learning languages comes from the same place.

Whether I’m making something in the workshop, building a small gift for someone I love, or getting lost in some obscure Portuguese album, I find joy in listening to and learning from people, or finding new ways to connect with them.
